A new online booking system is in place for Townmead Recycling Centre, enabling people to book their slot in advance and avoid lengthy queues. Visitors arriving without a booking will be turned away and not be allowed entry.

Businesses and Traders wishing to use the site will not need to pre-book – however they must have a valid Waste Carriers Licence.

You must cancel your booking if you are unable to attend.

Book online

You can book a slot up to two weeks in advance. If no slots are showing for a particular day then none are available. Please check back regularly as new slots are released daily.

If you would prefer not to wait, you can order a bulky item collection or a garden waste sack to your home.

When booking your slot, you will be asked for a list of items you wish to bring. This is only a guide and if you change the items there will be no requirement to inform us as you will still be authorised entry (please ensure you have checked which items are unacceptable).

Please note there is no pedestrian access to the site.

Changing or cancelling bookings

To change or cancel your booking, you will need to log-in to your account.

To set-up an account refer to your original booking confirmation email for instructions to set up your account and password.

Change number plate or drop-off details:

  • Select My Profile
  • Edit the relevant detail
  • At the bottom page, select Update

Cancel your booking:

  • Once logged in, select My Orders
  • Next to your booking, select Cancel

You will receive an email confirming your cancellation.
