Mama G Storytime

Join the fabulous Mama G for a joyful, interactive storytime filled with original tales, catchy tunes and beloved picture books.

Expect dancing, giggles and a whole lot of love as Mama G celebrates the magic of being yourself and embracing who you are. Perfect for children and families who love to sing, dance and dive into magical tales.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Lego Club

Everyone loves making things with Lego! Design and build amazing creations and take part in fun Lego challenges. We will provide the Lego, so children just need to bring ideas and enthusiasm. Lego Club is great way to meet new friends, share tips and show off building skills.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Open to children of all ages. Free drop-in event.

Chess Mates

Challenge your mind and play with confidence at East Sheen library’s new weekly chess club.

Starting 26 July 2025, step into the world of kings, queens, and bold moves at our drop-in chess club!

Whether you're looking to improve your strategy or already thinking five moves ahead, there's a spot for you at the board. Connect with like-minded players in a fun and supportive environment.

Suitable for ages 8 to 18.

Chess and strategy games club

Develop your skills and make new friends!

Discover the exciting world of chess and other strategy games such as Connect 4, Chinese Checkers, Othello and more, under the guidance of professional chess teachers.

Children of all levels and abilities are welcome, and mentoring is available if desired. Suitable for children aged 7-16.

Story time

Each library holds a weekly story time for under 6s. They are free and booking is not required.

Baby Rhyme Time

These free baby bounce and rhyme sessions are for very young children accompanied by adults.

Come join in the fun with songs, rhymes and stories - all are welcome.

Chatterbooks

If you live in the borough (or attend school here) and like books, read on! At these popular groups for 8 to 10 year olds we chat about books, play games and do quizzes. It is a great way to discover new authors and make new booky friends.

Chatterbooks groups meet once a month after school (term time only) and last about an hour.

Teen reading group

Richmond Code Club

Richmond Code Club is a free coding club open to young people aged 7 to 17 with sessions on Scratch, HTML, Python, and using micro:bits.
