You will need your Library Card and PIN. If you have forgotten your PIN you can request it by email, if you do not have email you can request your PIN in person at any library.

Ham Library Poetry Group

Monthly poetry group meetings for adults. All invited to bring their own or favourite poem, prose, song or story on varied topics. Please telephone Ham library for next dates/times.

Regular events

There are free Storytimes, Tiny Teddies sessions and other special events for children and teens in all our libraries.

Recycling service for small electrical items

You can now recycle unwanted small electrical items from your home at the library. Just place them in the dedicated recycling container on your next visit. Please note that this service is only for domestic electrical items that fit in the container. The size limit is 21cm x 19cm.

Items which can be left for recycling include:

  • Toasters
  • Kettles
  • Electric toothbrushes and tools
  • Laptops and computer keyboards
  • Desk fans
  • Desk phones and mobile phones
  • Electric shavers
  • Hair driers
  • Portable radios
  • Hi-Fi and CD players
  • DVD players
  • Bread makers
  • Slow cookers
  • Food processors, blenders/juicers and other similar items

Items that cannot be left for recycling include:

  • Hoovers
  • Microwave ovens
  • TVs and screens
  • Lawnmowers
  • Fridges or fridge freezers
  • Batteries
  • Light bulbs
  • Cables
  • Printers
