Unsafe toys and electrical goods, such as phone chargers, which fail to comply with UK safety laws, continue to be sold. Not only are these potentially dangerous, they can also damage the economy and fund crime.

Some of these items may be counterfeit. For peace of mind, always buy from a reputable retailer and get a receipt for items bought. Do not buy items from people selling goods in bin liners claiming overstocked items.

Richmond's New Year's Day Parade needs you!

It's been more than a decade, but Richmond is back at London's prestigious New Year's Day Parade.

A group of volunteers will be working together to showcase the very best of Richmond at this year's parade, to celebrate Richmond's love of life as they march through central London.

You can help support the group by donating funds towards the logistics to make Richmond's parade entry an absolute triumph. Any money we raise in addition to this will be donated to the Mayor's official charities.

Bringing joy to the world!

For some years, KingsGate Church in Ham has been putting together Christmas Hampers for local schools to distribute to families who could really do with a boost at this time of year.

In the first year, 10 hampers were distributed by St Richard's CE Primary. This year, many of the local Ham and Petersham Churches have contributed financially to the project and over 65 hampers were put together to be distributed via all local schools.

Bring back Christmas to Twickenham Riverside

Residents are invited to show their Christmas and community spirit by helping to decorate a new Christmas tree on Diamond Jubilee Gardens this Saturday 14 December from 1 to 4pm.

Following an attack by vandals earlier this month, a new tree will be installed and we are asking residents to bring decorations for a seasonal tree dressing. The afternoon will also include music, stalls, mulled wine and mince pies.
