The School Street operates along Lower Teddington Road from the junction with Seymour Road to the junction with Normansfield Avenue and includes Raeburn Close.

Hours of operation

The School Street is in operation Monday to Friday from 8.15 to 9am and 2.45 to 3.30pm, during term time only.

How it works

Signs notify drivers of the School Street operating times.

The School Street signs will still be displayed during school holidays and half term breaks. It is not a statutory requirement to remove, cover or close them.

Shared ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras have been installed to enforce the School Street on Lower Teddington Road.

Exemptions

During the operating times people walking, scooting, using wheelchairs, mobility scooters and cycles (including adapted cycles) are able to enter the School Street.

Motor vehicles are prohibited during the operating times, subject to a limited number of exemptions. Find out more about School Streets exemptions.

Penalties for entering without an exemption

Anyone entering the School Street during the operating times in a motor vehicle without having obtained an exemption will be liable to a penalty charge notice.
