Richmond Sustainability Forum

The Richmond Sustainability Forum brings together residents, experts and interested parties to explore some of the shared challenges and opportunities around environmental issues in the borough.

Established in 2023, the forum has met eight times, with up to 200 people attending. Each event welcomes both new and returning attendees, with agendas shaped around community interests and our priority actions.

June 2026

The June 2026 focused on ‘reinventing resources – via repair, reuse and repurpose’. It met at the new circular economy hub, The Fixery, at Grove Gardens Chapel on Richmond Hill, which opened in March 2026.

March 2026

In March 2026, the forum met at Duke Street Church for a ‘Retrofit’ theme. This marked the launch of the new Smarter Homes Hub and Smarter Homes Handbook. The event included information stalls, presentations, a resident case study, and a panel discussion with questions and answers.

October 2025

In October 2025, the forum took place at Orleans House Gallery for a ‘Nature & Community’ theme. The event included a night-time fungi walk.

July 2025

In July 2025, the forum met at Duke Street Church to launch of the new Climate and Nature Strategy (2025 to 2030). The event featured guest speakers, information stalls and a panel discussion.
