Join a free, zero waste, paper cuttings workshop at The Fixery

Join a zero-waste paper-cutting session at The Fixery, Richmond’s repair and reuse hub at Grove Gardens Chapel, on Thursday 24 September from 2 to 4pm (there’s no expectation to stay the entire session; please drop in and out when you feel).

The Fixery’s friendly staff and volunteer team will host one session on the day. Discover the power of reuse in a relaxed afternoon as you explore how paper and other materials can be given new life instead of going to landfill.

This is not a guided creative workshop. There is no set project or creative guidance, just an opportunity to have fun, experiment and see what you can make. You don’t need to be creative or have any experience; just bring an open mind! Please bring some reference images with you if you wish to do so.

All paper cuttings have been saved from landfill. A4 paper, magazines and other materials will be available. You’re welcome to bring your own paper or glue if you prefer. Our glue is non-toxic.

Please be mindful of waste. Every paper cutting will be saved for reuse; no piece of material or cuttings will go in the bin.

The session is family friendly and suitable for children aged 4 and over. Parents and carers must stay with their children throughout.

All materials will be provided. Just come along, have fun and explore the power of reuse!

The workshop is hosted at the restored Grove Gardens Chapel in the peaceful surroundings of the restored chapel, set amongst the tranquil Grove Gardens.

The on-site café will also be open during the workshop, serving tea and coffee. We run a 'pay as you feel' model for the Community Cafe. Card only.
