Full of Life Fair opens doors to support, activities and new connections for Richmond residents

30 October 2026

More than 900 Richmond residents came together at this year’s Full of Life Fair to discover new interests, meet local organisations and explore ways to stay active, independent and connected.

Richmond Council’s flagship event returned to the Allianz Stadium, bringing residents, carers, local organisations and community partners together.

Councillor Piers Allen, Lead Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health and Chair of the Richmond Health and Wellbeing Board, said:

"The value of Full of Life extends well beyond the day itself. A conversation can be the first step for someone towards joining a local group, trying something new or finding help to make everyday life easier.

“We want residents to feel confident, independent and know where to turn when they need information and advice locally.

“This event brings together an incredible range of organisations, services and community groups, making it easier for residents and carers to find information, advice and opportunities that can make a real difference to their everyday lives."

Now in its 18th year, the event featured more than 70 stallholders from local health care providers, charities, community organisations and Council services.

New for this year was the Spotlight on Dementia Hub which provided a space for people living with dementia and their carers to connect with specialists, discover local support services, and hear expert talks on memory, brain and hearing health.

Residents also received free health checks, practical guidance on using technology, and advice on independent living.

This year’s fair was supported by Caremark Richmond and Twickenham and Haven Care, who share the Council’s commitment to helping older residents live healthy, active and connected lives. Their sponsorship helped keep the event free and accessible to local people.

As the Council responds to government funding cuts, it will continue to explore opportunities to work with local organisations and secure sponsorship to support events like Full of Life in the future.
