The Fixery is hosting the Richmond Sustainability Forum: Reinventing resources

12 May 2026

Hear from experts about the circular economy and how we can rethink the way we use our resources at this Forum at the restored Grove Gardens Chapel.

How do we reinvent and rethink our resources? How can we work with what we’ve already got and make our items live for longer?

Come and join us in the run up to Climate Action Week for our summer Richmond Sustainability Forum, at the recently restored Grove Gardens Chapel, and the site of The Fixery on Saturday 13 June from 11am to 1pm.

The Fixery, which opened in March this year, is a community repair and reuse hub. It welcomes residents to repair, reuse and swap items, helping them reduce waste, save money and strengthen community connections.

At this Richmond Sustainability Forum, hear from passionate experts including Work & Play Scrapstore and Twickenham Repair Cafe for a series of lightning talks, bustling workshops and the marketplace.

Meet other residents and learn about how Richmond residents and local business and organisations are making the most of our resources.

The Fixery will be open as usual from 11am to 4pm so remember to bring empty bottles for the ‘refill’ shop, clothes to swap, and small electricals or textiles to be repaired.

There will be refreshments, opportunities to explore The Fixery, Grove Gardens Chapel and the peaceful surroundings of the old burial ground.

We encourage everyone to travel sustainably where possible. Grove Gardens Chapel is located between Richmond town centre and North Sheen, making it easy to reach on foot, by bike, or by public transport.

Access the chapel by the footpath off Lower Grove Road and pedestrian gate through Grove Road Gardens. The chapel has step free access.

If you are a local organisation and want to showcase your own reuse, repair, repurpose, recycling or sharing initiatives, contact climatechange@richmond.gov.uk to join our bustling marketplace at the Forum.

The Richmond Sustainability Forum is a part of a growing narrative and regular event series.
