Celebrate Refugee Week with us!

28 May 2026

Join us on Thursday 18 June to celebrate Refugee Week with music, food, art and community activities that honour the courage of sanctuary seekers and the rich culture of our borough.

Inspired by the lives and experiences of people seeking sanctuary, Refugee Week 2026 invites us to explore the theme of 'Courage'.

Celebration evening

This much-loved annual event has welcomed over a hundred attendees for the last two years, showing how strongly our community comes together to celebrate sanctuary, culture and connection.

Join us for an uplifting evening featuring performances from Richmond’s diverse community including Stefania Ukrainian Dancers.

Enjoy delicious Ukrainian, Syrian and Persian food from local caterers, take part in colouring in, face painting, henna workshops, and more activities, all designed to celebrate our diverse communities and create moments that bring residents and local groups closer.
