Summer of suspense at Twickenham Library

Whether you’re already a fan of gripping crime fiction or simply looking for your next great read, join us for an exciting evening with four outstanding writers on Thursday 9 July at Twickenham Library.

Bestselling authors M.J. Arlidge, Ellery Lloyd, and Claire Parkin come together for Summer of suspense, part of Live in the library: authors in conversation, where they share the inspiration behind their latest books and the secrets of writing stories that keep readers hooked.

If you already love these authors, this is a rare opportunity to hear from them in person. And if you’re new to their work, it’s the perfect introduction; just in time to build your summer reading list.

M.J. Arlidge, creator of the hugely popular DI Helen Grace series, will discuss his latest thriller Out of the Ashes, continuing his trademark fast-paced storytelling that readers call ‘chilling’ (The Times) and ‘addictive’ (Express).

Ellery Lloyd, the acclaimed writing duo behind The Club, will introduce their latest novel Time to Burn, a sharp and thought-provoking thriller with a contemporary twist.

Claire Parkin, novelist, and former journalist whose previous book The Final Hours of Muriel Hinchcliffe was hailed as ‘outrageously readable’ (Daily Mail), will also join the conversation. Her latest novel, Tell Tale, is a compelling and sharply observed story exploring the stories we choose to tell and the ones we conceal.

The event will conclude with a book signing, in partnership with Parade’s End Books, where you’ll have the chance to meet the authors and purchase copies of their latest books.
