Apply for free space to grow your art project

24 June 2026

Our Artists Make Space programme supports artists by providing free studio space across the borough. Submit your application by Sunday 5 July.

Our Artists Make Space programme is offering free studio spaces across the borough, giving artists the opportunity to develop and expand their practice.

The programme supports artists who do not currently have access to suitable studio space for financial or practical reasons, who need a specific environment for a project or for experimentation, or who can demonstrate that this residency will enable artistic growth that would not otherwise be possible.

Successful applicants will have the chance to experiment, develop new techniques, and deepen their practice at:

  • Orleans House Gallery, Twickenham
  • The Old Town Hall, Richmond
  • OSO Arts Centre, Barnes

The programme welcomes practitioners across music, theatre, dance, visual arts, literature and combined arts and encourages applications from our diverse communities, including Global Majority, Deaf, disabled, neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities.

Find out more and apply by Sunday 5 July 2026.
