Updated guide to finding food support in Richmond upon Thames

27 January 2026

We have updated the helpful ‘Food Provision in Richmond upon Thames’ booklet for 2026, making it easier than ever for residents to find food support services across the borough.

The handy resource brings together a wide range of support options to help people access nutritious meals and reduce food waste.

The updated booklet includes details of:

  • Richmond Foodbank which operates across seven sites in the borough (a foodbank voucher is required to use this)
  • Food for Thought Heathfield which offers a surplus food stall to help reduce food waste
  • The Real Junk Food Project which runs pay-as-you-feel surplus cafés, turning rescued food into delicious meals
  • Cooking Up which provides local cooking classes to help residents build skills and confidence in the kitchen
  • Community lunches including free or low-cost meals available at various locations, fostering connection and support

Originally developed by Richmond’s Food Partnership Network with funding from the Greater London Authority (GLA), the booklet has now been updated by the Council to ensure residents have the latest information at their fingertips.
