I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from Richmond Upon Thames within 20 working days. Please can you provide me with the following information broken down in to calendar years and into quarters from January 2021 to January 30th 2023:

1) How many planning applications have been rejected by the council from 2021 to 2023?

2) How many applications were granted planning permission after the developer appealed the process following a refusal from the council from 2021 to 2023?

3) How much in pound sterling has been awarded to developers in costs and damages in relation to planning applications initially rejected by the council and subsequently overturned between 2021 and 2023?

We do not hold or monitor the Planning information requested in this form (ie. Monitor planning refusals and those allowed on appeal) and the information is already publicly available on the Council's website. In terms of details of any previous planning applications and outcomes these are already publicly available and certain information can be extracted through the below advanced search facility on our website:

Please note that in application type drop-down there are various application types and date parameters set, which may assist in extracting the applications. Date and Ward parameters can also be set within this advanced search facility.

In relation to any costs (legal or awards of costs) associated with such Applications/Appeal we do not monitor these and as such this information is not available.
