1/ Please provide a list of camera locations and type in the Borough.

2/ How was much was the total energy usage for all the cameras and any associated equipment deployed within the highway over the previous 12 months in kwhr and £.

3/ If new and/or additional equipment has been installed since the calculating the above, what is the projected usage in kwhr for the next 12 months?

4/ Who is the electricity supply authority for the Borough?

5/ Does the Borough utilise wireless communications transmission for its CCTV cameras?

5.1/ If yes, please provide details of why this form of transmission was chosen and also provide the assessment carried out and Borough CCTV policy around the use of wireless transmission, together with why the Borough chose to go against guidance of the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure which states the risks of such networks for critical public infrastructure on the grounds that it can be easily jammed, hacked, and is susceptible to interference.

5.2/ What measures have been taken to prevent jamming of the wireless system and keeping the system secure from foreign interference/access?

6/ Does the Borough use advanced analytics with its CCTV system?

If so, please provide details

7/ What is the data retention policy for footage and data recorded by the system?

8/ Who is the officer responsible for the CCTV/surveillance system in the Borough?

5/ Does the Borough utilise wireless communications transmission for its CCTV cameras? Yes

The Council has carried out risk-assessments and has taken steps to eliminate or mitigate limited risk within that scope. The Council is unable to comment further on the issues of security.

6/ Does the Borough use advanced analytics with its CCTV system? No

If so, please provide details

7/ What is the data retention policy for footage and data recorded by the system? All data is automatically deleted after 31 days unless otherwise required.

8/ Who is the officer responsible for the CCTV/surveillance system in the Borough? The officer responsible is the Control Centre Manager (Joint Control Centre).
