Richmond Carers Partnership Group

The Richmond Carers Partnership Group (formerly the Richmond Carers Strategy Group) is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the delivery of the Richmond Adult and Young Unpaid Carers’ Charter across the borough.

Background

The Richmond Carers Strategy Reference Group provided strategic leadership and monitored delivery of the Richmond Carers Strategy, a five‑year framework that concluded in 2025. While the strategy’s formal timeframe has ended, this does not mark the end of Richmond’s strategic commitment to unpaid carers of all ages.

We have now introduced the Richmond Adult and Young Unpaid Carers' Charter which continues the core ambitions, priorities and workstreams established through the strategy. This has been shaped directly by lived experience, drawing on the voices of over 250 local unpaid carers, former carers and young carers. Using carers’ own words, the Charter sets out shared priorities for local organisations, helping to ensure that people who provide care are supported in ways that are appropriate, meaningful and effective.
