Impact of coronavirus on Council meetings

It is no longer possible for meetings in groups of more than two to be held, due to Government and Public Health England advice to enforce social distancing and prevent the spread of coronavirus. For this reason, committees ‘held in public’ are cancelled until further notice. Regulations have been published which allow committee meetings to be held by remote access (virtual meetings). We are working to develop ways of enabling this to happen, initially with licensing sub-committees and planning committees. Please see the calendar and relevant committee pages. New procedures to enable participation in these virtual committee meetings will also be available.

Any urgent decisions which need to be made at this time will be taken by the Chief Executive and published on our website.
