The Council has received requests primarily from parents of the local schools for improved crossing facilities on Shacklegate Lane. A review of conditions has shown that traffic volume can be high at peak times and crossing demand on the two existing traffic islands is such that more formal crossing facilities can be justified.

iii) Agrees to the advertisement of a notice under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 for the zebra crossing and associated markings.
