Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the transformer was of a poor build quality because the primary and secondary windings were found to be touching. Under fault conditions, this could lead the battery charger to overheat and ignite or explode. The product also requires improvements to marking, labelling and documentation.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
