The product presents a high risk of electric shock as there was insufficient creepage distance between live and neutral PCB tracks. The mains plug was not fitted with a fuse link which was correctly rated, and the plug did not meet the marking requirements of BS 1363.

Additionally, the item was not accompanied by adequate instructions and safety information required by the standard.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Corrective action
