Product description
Orange vest style personal flotation device with modular foam and stitched panelling. Multiple hand tie closures, centre front orange webbing waist tie closure (20 mm); elasticated tie cord at bottom of front closure (6 mm); stitched orange material ties at top under user's chin (7 mm), stitched orange material ties at both right and left side (15 mm). Reflective patches on shoulders.

Hazard
The product has been assessed as presenting a serious risk of drowning. The product was advertised as a life jacket, but once purchased was identified as a buoyancy aid (which does not provide the same level of protection).

When tested, the product did not meet the level of buoyancy required of a buoyancy aid, and therefore may not have performed as expected when relied upon.

The product also requires improvements to marking, labelling and documentation.

The product does not meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on Personal Protective Equipment or the Personal Protective Equipment (Enforcement) Regulations 2018.

Corrective action
OPSS has required that the products are recalled from end users.

Owners are advised to cease use of the product and contact the distributor they purchased from to request redress.

The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Wish).
