Hazard
The product presents a high risk of electric shock and fire as although the heating element was fitted with a device to interrupt power in response to abnormal operation temperature, the fan motor continued to operate until the item ceased functioning in a non-controlled manner. While the product is plugged in and switched on, if it were to be placed down on a surface blocking the air intake, the product could overheat. As there is no safety device to isolate power in the event of overheating, the product will likely catch fire.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Corrective action
The import has been rejected and destroyed at the border.

The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
