Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of choking as during tension testing, the two buttons on the shawl detached when forces less than the specified minimum of 90 N were applied. The detached components were found to fit entirely into a small parts cylinder and therefore pose a potential choking hazard to young children. The product also presents a risk of strangulation as the fabric belt features a cord that has been measured to exceed the maximum length of 300 mm. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 (Consumer Protection Act 1987).

Corrective action
The authority are requiring the recall of the product from end users.

The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
