Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the internal build quality is insufficient, with wires able to loosen and make accessible metal parts live. The product is insufficiently earthed and was not fitted with a compliant fuse. Under fault conditions, this could lead the plug to overheat, explode, and ignite, causing a fire and the consumer to experience burns. The product also requires improvements to labelling, warnings and documentation.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
