Good Move scheme - ULEZ support

About the scheme

Anyone who wishes to dispose of or replace a vehicle that is non-compliant with the Mayor of London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), can apply for our scheme.

We have secured a range of great offers which can help you save money and use greener, cleaner forms of transport.

These include discounted bikes and cargo bikes, free car club memberships and free Oyster card credit to use on tube, buses and local train services. 

TfL scrappage scheme

Transport for London (TfL) has established a scrappage scheme for Londoners in receipt of specific benefits and allowances in advance of the planned expansion of the ULEZ this summer. 

Residents are urged to check if their vehicles are compliant with ULEZ and, if not, consider making use of TfL’s scrappage scheme if eligible. 

TfL has also negotiated a range of offers for all households.

Eligibility

You do not need to be eligible for TfL’s scrappage scheme to take advantage of our offers. 

In order to qualify for our scheme, you must be a resident of Richmond upon Thames, and will need to commit to scrapping your non ULEZ compliant vehicle within 12 months.

Residents can apply for the following offers.

Active travel

Claim a three month free trial when you join Peddle My Wheels Try Before You Bike scheme AND a discount off the cost of the bike if you decide to purchase it at the end of the trial.  

You can choose between a standard bike, electric bike, or electric cargo bike. Insurance, accessories, and home delivery are all included free of charge.

Public transport

Get a £50 Pay as you go Oyster card to be used on local buses, trains and tube.

Car clubs

Claim your Enterprise Carclub promo-code to get one year free membership and £50 driving credit.

Claim your Smart Zipcar promo-code to get one year free membership and £50 driving credit.

How to apply

To apply for these offers, complete the online form.

You will need to apply with a car, motorcycle or wheelchair accessible vehicle that:

• Is registered with the DVLA to you (or to someone who lives at your address), for more than 12 months before 30 January 2023
• Has valid insurance, road tax and MOT
• Does not meet the ULEZ emissions standards

You will be contacted within five working days of your application. Once eligibility is confirmed a voucher code will be sent to you to redeem.
