Join the scheme

The Community Toilet Scheme allows businesses across the Borough to be financially compensated in return for allowing non-paying customers to use their toilet facilities. Businesses will also be promoted across the borough, informing visitors of the facilities on offer.

Participating in the scheme

The payment is based on the number of days that toilet facilities are available to the public with a minimum payment of £800 and a maximum of £1,000 (plus VAT) per annum.       

Participating businesses are required to display a Community Toilet Scheme sticker as provided by Richmond Council.

Membership is subject to area need, types of facilities to be provided and other factors, and is not automatic.
