Our libraries are working with the Good Things Foundation to support digital inclusion through the National Databank scheme. This is a pilot project to provide free mobile phone data, texts and calls for people in need.

The scheme is supported by UK mobile networks Vodaphone, 02 and Three and provides access to data for up to six months. Your mobile device must be unlocked or locked to Vodaphone, 02 or Three.

To receive free data through the National Databank you must be:

  • Eighteen years or older (proof will be required)
  • From a low-income household

You must also meet one of the following conditions:

  • You have no or insufficient access to the internet at home
  • You have no or insufficient access to the internet when away from home
  • You cannot afford your existing monthly contract or top-up cost

How to apply

You will need to make an appointment at your local library. If successful you will receive a data voucher.

You can visit in person to make your appointment, or get in touch by telephone or email.
