Clarendon Hall is part of York House and is available to hire for a variety of functions, including weddings. It can be hired in conjunction with other York House rooms to suit your requirements.

Clarendon Hall is suitable for the following functions:

• Large meetings

It is licensed for public music, dancing and stage plays.

Availability

Clarendon Hall is available for hire:

• Monday to Thursday - 9am to 11pm
• Friday and Saturday - 9am to 1am
• Sunday - 10am to Midnight

Layout and amenities

The hall is 23 metres by 10 metres and can hold 250 people seated theatre style and 150 people seated for a formal dinner.

It has a stage, dressing rooms and a grand piano. A PA system and stage lighting are available for hire.

Bringing equipment

You are allowed to bring in stand alone presentation equipment or decorations for your event. However we do not allow anything to be pinned, stuck or attached to the walls in any rooms. Any equipment that is brought in has to come in and be taken out within your booked times. There is no storage available on site.

Catering

External caterers are welcome at York House. To assist you in choosing a caterer for your event we have compiled a list of caterers that have worked at York House.

Tables and chairs

Tables and chairs are provided but you, or your caterer, will need to provide all the linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking/serving utensils.

Kitchen facilities

The kitchen is only available by prior arrangement when hiring the Clarendon Hall. The facilities provided are:

• Hob with six hot plates
• Hot cupboard (not for cooking)
• Larder fridge (on request)
• Boiling water supply
• Ice making machine

We do not supply any linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, or utensils.

Serving alcohol

You are welcome to provide alcohol to your guests free of charge and we do not charge a corkage fee. If you wish to have a pay bar, then you must hire our approved bar supplier. Please contact a Lettings Officer for bar supplier details. If you are organising a charity event contact us for information on a Temporary Event Notice.

There is a minimum hire period for each room. See the price lists for more detail. We do take private bookings on some bank holidays. For hire charges on these dates or for any other queries please contact a Lettings Officer.

Getting here

Twickenham Railway Station is nearby in London Road and a number of buses serve the area. More details on how to get to York House(pdf, 170KB).

There is a two hour maximum stay (9am to 5pm) public car park available at the venue and a multi-story car park in nearby Arragon Road. Further information can be found on the car parks page.
