Haydon Williams: The Surgeon's Scalpel - observed and imagined landscapes

12 December 2015 - 27 February 2016

The scalpel is the most precise drawing tool. The line dividing colours, defining shapes, creating forms and motifs is rendered invisible by the skill and dexterity of the artist’s hands.

About the exhibition

Formerly a designer, Haydon Williams now creates artworks which combine the applied and fine art worlds.

Sharply defined structures and layered surfaces in contrast with freer, painterly treatments create surreal and surprise elements.

The observed and imagined fuse together, inspired by landscape locations.
