Using print, drawing and 3D imaging, Catherine Cartwright's current work documents the building as a 'witness'. Each building represents a significant event - either personal or political.

About the exhibition

Following on from her work on the Human Rights Act, many of the buildings she chooses have been the scenes of struggle and resistance; a Baghdad cafe, an East Jerusalem community centre. Alongside these are images that hold personal memories for the artist. Many of these buildings no longer exist in their original form and live on either through these images, or in the new form erected in their geographical place.
