Practice your French with local conversation group this Saturday

Community news on behalf of Live Languages | 6 September 2023

On Saturday 9 September from 10.30 to 11.30am, residents of all ages and levels of French are invited to practise their French conversation over tea, coffee, and croissants at ETNA Community Centre (TW1 2AR).

Hosted by Live Languages, the conversation group is a great chance to meet like-minded French students in ETNA’s café, which includes both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Live Languages is using its French conversation groups as an opportunity to raise money for the ETNA Community Centre, so donations of £5-£10 are encouraged.

If you would like more information about Saturday's event, please contact infolivelanguages@gmail.com.

Are you a retired or semi-retired resident on Richmond upon Thames, and interested in learning a new language or brushing up on one you've learned before?

From September 2023, Live Languages is offering a free taster session in an appropriate French or Spanish conversation group. It is never too late to learn, improve or refresh a language, and there is a lot of evidence to support the benefits of language learning to keep your memory sharp and your brain active. It is also a fun opportunity to make new friends with similar interests, and to meet fellow students face-to-face. You will learn together in a relaxed, mutually supportive environment, with a maximum of 5 other participants.

Contact Live Languages at infolivelanguages@gmail.com if you are interested in taking up this offer.
