Community noticeboards

Our community noticeboards provide information on the work of the Council and local community groups, together with details of local events and activities.

There are 16 outdoor boards around the borough, allowing residents to keep up to date with local information and see what is happening in the area in which they live.

Local community or resident groups, charities or not-for-profit organisations can apply to display information about an event or opportunity that people in the area would be interested in.

Noticeboards inside library buildings are not included in this scheme.

Creating a poster

Before you start preparing a poster, refer to the guidance on acceptable poster subject matter, content, size and quality.

Key points to remember:

  • Posters must be size A3 for the 11 larger boards, and A4 for the 5 smaller boards
  • All posters must be in portrait format
  • All posters must include contact details (telephone number and email address)
  • Any posters submitted by charities will need to display their charity status, and those from non-profit organisations should clearly display their non-profit status

When you have created your design, please email it to communitynoticeboards@richmond.gov.uk for pre-approval.

Once you have received approval, you can print your posters. The Library Service is unable to print them for you.

Submit posters

You can choose whether to take your posters to your local library or send them by post.

Please place all posters within one large envelope to enable onward processing, and include a covering sheet. Clearly indicate which boards you would like them to be displayed on.

If sending by post, send your package to:
