Local Policing Update

Title: Neighbourhoods Inspector of Richmond
This month at Twickenham Police Station we have been busy preparing for the easing of the lockdown. We have continued to patrol areas of local concern over this lockdown and we have worked with our colleagues in both the Council and other organisations related to policing the borough.
We have found that on the whole, residents of Richmond upon Thames have been complying with current restrictions and I would like to thank those of you that have stuck to the rules.
With the easing of restrictions, we are preparing for busier times and looking at increasing our patrols in certain areas.
We will also be looking to work with our colleagues in the council Community Safety team, Local Authority and Safer Neighbourhood Board around joint solutions such as patrolling together.
My Richmond team had a meeting last week with the Met’s Safer Transport team around joint tasking’s and working closer together on our public transport.
In other business we have been working with Hounslow officers to combat issues in Crane Park. We are aiming to improve local knowledge about how locals can contact their local ward officer and we have continued to hold online contact centres on sites via Zoom and Nextdoor.
Like most of the public we are very much looking forward to being able to return these to face to face contact sessions!
For more information on how to find your local neighbourhood team, visit the Met’s website and enter your postcode. Here you can find local crime information and contact your local team.
