Join a river walk for World Rivers Day
Community news on behalf of Do Something Green | 10 September 2026
On Sunday 27 September, to celebrate World Rivers Day, the community organisation Do Something Green is hosting a River Walk in Ham. Come and join like-minded people to celebrate the river and the local environment by spending time in nature.
Meeting up outside The Landmark Arts Centre at 11am, we will cross over the river to Ham. The circular route starts from Teddington Lock, then heads up Riverside Drive and as far as Ham House.
From there, we head back along the towpath and on to Burnell Avenue open space where we can stay for any activities celebrating World Rivers Day. After the walk, the cafe at the Hawker Centre is available for anyone wishing to have something to eat or drink, and there are toilet facilities available there too.
Wear comfortable and suitable shoes or boots for walking and comfortable clothing - be mindful of the weather.
Book a free ticket on Eventbrite.
