The popular Richmond Reads is returning this September. Join us to discover new authors, explore different genres and broaden your reading horizons.
Bringing together readers, authors and communities across the borough, the Richmond Reads Reading Challenge features a line-up of talks, discussions, workshops and creative activities designed to celebrate books, spark conversation and inspire new reading discoveries.
This year's programme will highlight acclaimed authors, family-friendly events and opportunities for aspiring writers, alongside innovative experiences that bring stories to life in unexpected ways.
From Friday 4 September, get ready for a packed programme, including:
- A special event exploring The Cazalet Chronicles and the enduring legacy of Elizabeth Jane Howard
- Publishing panel discussions featuring leading industry professionals
- Non-fiction events covering topics from Britain's historic lidos and Siberian exploration to the culinary heritage of Ukraine
- An interactive family dance session with professional ballet dancers
- A scent-inspired workshop exploring memory, emotion and place in literature
- Creative writing workshops, interactive experiences and hands-on activities that inspire imagination, creativity and storytelling for all ages
