Running from 12 to 20 September, Open House Festival celebrates London’s special sites and neighbourhoods through free open days and events. Read on to explore what’s on in Richmond upon Thames.
This year, over 20 venues in the borough are taking part in the annual Open House Festival, offering opportunities to explore some of Richmond upon Thames’ most fascinating landmarks.
This year's programme features a wide range of activities.

- Join a guided tour of the Old Town Hall in Richmond
- Visit historic churches such as St Mary Magdalene and St Peter's
- Discover architectural landmarks including York House and Richmond Lock Building
- Explore the air raid shelter at St Leonards Court
- View botanical treasures at Kew Gardens' Herbarium
- Enjoy artist-led exhibitions at One Paved Court
- Join a guided walk through the Hampton Court Flood Meadows restoration project, and more.
