Discover how you can make a difference as a trustee

Community news on behalf of Richmond CVS | 2 September 2026

The Richmond CVS trustee recruitment evening is back on Wednesday 14 October 2026.

Everyone has the potential to offer meaningful ways to give back to the community and this free event can show you how trusteeship could be the answer!

The in-person informal session will take place in central Richmond, at Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College (RHACC), from 5 to 8pm.

You can book now to join a unique opportunity to meet local charities face-to-face, explore current trustee opportunities, and hear first-hand from current trustees.

Learn about the role of a charity trustee and how your skills, experience and enthusiasm can really help to shape the future and success of a local cause.

This special evening has grown year on year, along with curiosity in the role of the trustee. Expect to see over 30 charities and not-for-profit organisations, working across a wide range of sectors - such as health, disability, education, arts, heritage, children's services, care, advice and community support.

It’s vital for organisations to include a diverse range of voices, perspectives and skills to succeed and thrive. If there’s a particular area you have experience in, or a cause you feel passionately about, this evening could help you to find the perfect local opportunity you’re looking for.

The evening is organised by Richmond’s Volunteer Service, part of Richmond CVS, which supports local voluntary and community organisations and helps residents connect with rewarding volunteering opportunities. They also provide a range of training and support, specifically designed to help local organisations and their trustees and volunteers.

Tickets are free, with advance registration strongly encouraged, and include a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink, alongside talks and networking.
