Mayor invites residents to charity wine tasting evening at York House

Residents are invited to join the Mayor of Richmond upon Thames, Councillor Nancy Baldwin, for an evening of wine tasting at York House this September, raising money for two local charities, Cocoon Care After Care and Skylarks.

Hosted by Doran Wines, the fundraising event will take place in the Salon at York House in Twickenham - a popular wedding venue which has been newly refurbished.

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a curated selection of wines and nibbles while supporting two organisations making a real difference in the borough. 

A charity raffle on the night will have a range of prizes on offer, helping to raise more funds for the Mayor's chosen charities.

The Mayor of Richmond upon Thames, Councillor Nancy Baldwin, said: "I am excited to invite residents to join me for what promises to be a wonderful evening of wine tasting.

"This event is a fantastic opportunity to come together, enjoy some excellent wines and support two remarkable charities that provide vital help to children, young people and families across our borough. I hope residents will join us in raising a glass for these important causes."

The Mayor's chosen charities for 2026/27 are Cocoon Care After Care and Skylarks. Cocoon Care After Care supports care-experienced young adults as they transition to independent living, helping to reduce isolation and overcome practical, emotional and financial barriers. Skylarks provides vital services, activities and support for children and young people with additional needs, and their families, helping them to thrive within their community.

Tickets cost £27 per person (includes wine tasting and light refreshments)

All proceeds from the evening will support the Mayor's charities.
