This Black History Month, our libraries are showcasing a selection of books that explore the stories, voices, and contributions of black heritage.

What’s more, you can enjoy free access to British Film Institute Replay at our libraries or through the library Wi-Fi.

This will include the collections 'Black Voices' and 'Black Britain on film’, featuring the stories, creativity, identities and expressions of black British communities, shared by individuals through documentary, performance, oral history and interviews.

What’s happening across Richmond

There are lots of ways to get involved this Black History Month, with a vibrant line-up of events across the borough. Highlights include The Brown Suite at Richmond Theatre, The Black Presence in Georgian Theatre and Music in Hampton, A Taste of Africa in Twickenham, Black Magic exhibition at Eel Pie Island Museum and more.
