Get your professional dog walking licence

4 September 2025

Do you provide dog walking services in Richmond upon Thames? Apply for your licence before Wednesday 24 September so you can use our parks and open spaces for professional dog walking - and walk up to six dogs at a time.

To walk your furry clients professionally in designated parks, you must have a licence, and you can’t start until it’s approved.

With a licence you will be able to walk up to six dogs at a time, on one of six designated sites across the borough. Licences are currently granted for two years from the date of issue.

Looking after our parks with your dog

Our parks are wonderful places to walk your dog, and we love seeing residents and their furry friends enjoying these spaces.

To help protect both wildlife and visitors, we kindly ask that dogs are kept on leads in sensitive wildlife areas and that owners always clean up after them. Dog waste can carry harmful parasites and pollute our parks, so disposing of it properly helps keep these shared spaces pleasant for everyone.
