Be the reason someone quits smoking

Community news on behalf of Raise My Voice | 3 September 2025

Richmond residents who have recently quit smoking or are in the process of quitting are being asked to share their stories to encourage others. Those who take part will receive a £100 voucher.

This is part of this year's Stoptober campaign which Richmond Council is supporting along with other councils in South-West London.

The council is working with the organisation Raise My Voice to bring your stories to life during the month.

If you have a story about smoking and quitting, Raise My Voice are inviting you to join a 60-minute workshop event at a Richmond Café in September. Together, guests will share experiences about smoking and take part in short video clips so that stories can be shared.

You will be thanked with a £100 Amazon voucher for taking part with a filmed clip.

Email victoria@raisemyvoice.co.uk to take part. Spaces are limited.

Use your story to help others quit smoking!
