New programme set for Pools on the Park's multi-use studio
14 October 2026
Residents will soon be able to take part in a new programme of specialist health and wellbeing activities at Pools on the Park, in the centre’s new multi-use studio.
The programme will offer small group sessions designed to support people with a range of health, wellbeing and fitness goals, with more individual guidance from instructors in a welcoming and supportive environment.
The initial programme will include:
- Women-only strength sessions
- Women-only mobility and core sessions
- Menopause strength sessions
- Correct lifting techniques
- Parkinson’s support sessions
The programme supports the ambitions of our Richmond Moves Leisure Strategy to help more residents be active and improve their health and wellbeing. It will provide targeted opportunities for people who may face barriers to taking part in physical activity or benefit from more specialist support.
Sessions will begin from Monday 26 October and will be available to book through the Better website.
The programme will also link with wider community engagement activity, helping to create routes into regular physical activity for residents who may not currently use the borough’s leisure facilities.
The new multi-use studio provides a flexible space at Pools on the Park for activities that are particularly suited to smaller groups. The format will allow instructors to provide greater individual guidance and create a supportive environment for participants.
Together with the wider range of activities already available at Pools on the Park, the new programme will help more residents find ways to move more in a way that works for them and support healthier, more active lives.
