New grief café launches in Whitton to support bereaved residents

Community news on behalf of space2grieve | 1 October 2026

Local charity space2grieve is expanding its free bereavement support across Richmond borough with a new Compassionate Cuppa grief café at Whitton Community Centre.

Navigating loss can feel deeply overwhelming. space2grieve wants to ensure no local resident has to process grief alone. Compassionate Cuppa offers a free, informal drop-in for anyone in the borough living with loss - no matter when, no matter how.

Richmond residents are invited to drop in for a hot drink, a warm welcome and a safe, supportive space to connect with others who truly understand.

The first session takes place on Tuesday 6 October, from 10 to 11.30am at Whitton Community Centre, Percy Road, Twickenham TW2 6JL. Sessions will run on the first Tuesday of every month, with no booking or referral required. All welcome.

Alongside these drop-in cafés, space2grieve continues to provide free, confidential one-to-one bereavement support tailored for adults, children and young people throughout Richmond borough.
