From poetic reflections and quantum theory to birds, beasts and riverside landscapes, find out what's on to reveal Turner’s influence across art, science and storytelling.
Shadowscapes: Heaney, JMW Turner and Quantum
Until 1 March 2026, explore the multidimensional connections between art, science and emotion at Orleans House Gallery. In this immersive installation, award-winning artist and quantum physicist Libby Heaney collides JMW Turner’s 250th birthday with the centenary of quantum physics.
Listen and feel Turner’s paintings through Heaney’s evolving digital-quantum soundscape and shadow projection, featuring three original oil paintings on loan from Tate Britain.

Turner's Kingdom: Beauty, Birds and Beasts
Open until 26 October, we invite you to take a short walk away at Turner’s House and discover the intimate world of Britain’s greatest landscape painter.
Set in the house that Turner himself designed and once called home, this exhibition unveils rarely seen animal studies and bird watercolours, and exceptional loans from national collections, offering visitors a glimpse into the private world of Britain’s greatest landscape painter.

JMW Turner and West London
Turner lived in Twickenham, Brentford, Isleworth and Hammersmith, come along to this free event to learn about his association with West London.
Turner loved to row, fish and paint the River Thames and some of his largest and most important paintings were inspired by the view from Richmond Hill.
