Looking after your health doesn’t have to be complicated and small changes can make a big difference. Visit the Health Bus to get support and take charge of your health.

Whether you're looking to quit smoking, check your blood pressure, or simply get general health advice, the Health Bus is making it easier than ever to prioritise your wellbeing.

Staffed by friendly health professionals, including a local pharmacist, our health bus is a convenient one stop shop for improving your health and wellbeing. The Health Bus will be offering free:

  • Stop smoking advice
  • NHS health checks
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Pneumonia vaccinations (Kneller Gardens and Ham Village Pharmacy only)
  • General health advice

Drop by the health bus at one of the locations, no need to book an appointment.

Upcoming Health Bus schedule

The Health Bus will be available on the following dates:

  • Sunday 19 October 2025, from 8.30am to 2.30pm, at Kneller Gardens
  • Wednesday 22 October 2025, from 10am to 4pm, at Ham Village Pharmacy (previously Kanset Pharmacy)
  • Thursday 23 October 2025, from 11am to 5pm, at Heathfield Recreation Ground
  • Friday 24 October 2025, from 10am to 4pm, at Nelson Road Car Park

Free personalised stop smoking support

Our Stop Smoking Advisors provide free, tailored support through the Stop Smoking Service and can offer:

  • Personalised one-to-one consultations
  • Nicotine replacement therapies
  • Tips on managing withdrawal symptoms and triggers
  • Free vape kits paired with 12 weeks of behavioural support as part of the Swap to Stop Scheme (only for adults 18+ who smoke regularly).

Can’t make it to one of the Health Bus dates? You can also pop by our drop-in clinics hosted every Monday from 10am to 3pm at the Twickenham Civic Centre.

Free NHS health checks

If you’re aged between 40 and 74 you may be eligible for a free NHS Health Check.

This 20-minute check-up includes an assessment of your overall health and can assess whether you’re at higher risk of problems like heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, and stroke. Get your blood pressure checked, ask about medications and hear tips for healthy living.
