Get your free grit and stay safe this winter

As part of our annual winter initiative, residents can get free bags of grit and rock salt to tackle snow and ice. 

To get prepared for winter, local residents can collect up to 50kg of rock salt from our depot in Langhorn Drive in Twickenham. 

This will be available for collection from Monday 17 November until Friday 21 November, between the hours of 9am and 3pm. 

As the depot is a secure area, you will need to sign in at the gate reception so please ensure you bring photo ID and proof of address with you. 

In addition, our winter gritting service will run from November to April. This helps keeps main roads clear of snow and ice and ensures entrances to important public buildings remain accessible.
