YMCA Hampton Pre School rated Good by Ofsted

YMCA Hampton Pre School, part of YMCA St Paul’s Group, has been rated Good by Ofsted following a recent inspection.

The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) has awarded YMCA Hampton Pre School in Hampton a Good rating for their early years provision. The rating follows an inspection by Ofsted in September 2023. 

Ofsted’s report praises the warm and welcoming environment which helps the children to feel safe and secure. It remarks on the children’s enjoyment of a wide range of stimulating and age-appropriate toys that capture their curiosity. 

The inspectors’ report also highlighted further strengths, including the experienced staff who can quickly identify any gaps or needs in children’s progress and put appropriate support in place. As a result, all children, including children who are disadvantaged and in receipt of early education funding, make good progress. 

The report describes how the children are encouraged to be confident and independent, and how good behaviour and choices are positively reinforced. The children are performing well in improving their communication skills and extending their vocabularies, as well as being encouraged to develop their fine and gross motor skills.
