Empowering Richmond’s creative future

11 November 2025

Since its launch in 2024, our Artists Make Space programme has proudly supported 23 artists across the borough through offering free studio and project space to help them develop their practice.

Artists were selected through an open call process and have been working in inspiring locations including Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham, The Old Town Hall in Richmond, and OSO Arts Centre in Barnes.

Between 2024 and 2026, these 23 artists have rehearsed, filmed and collaborated, painted, made and experimented with new ideas. Some artists have chosen to deliver open studio sessions, inviting the public to step inside their process and add fresh energy to the arts ecology of the borough.

Following a successful pilot in 2024, the programme will continue into 2026, bringing more artists, more ideas, and more creative energy to our streets and spaces.
