Richmond charity now offering career support in Hampton

Community news on behalf of Room for Work | 2 November 2023

Local charity Room for Work is running a free career development course in Hampton from Monday 13 November to Tuesday 19 December. Unemployed residents living further from the centre of the borough will benefit from attending a course closer to home at the new location in TW12.

The Room for Work programme uses the power of community to help people build confidence and motivation while gaining up-to-date employability skills.

Whether you're looking to re-enter the workplace or seeking a career change, Room for Work can help. The programme includes tailored, one-to-one mentoring provided by experts with follow-up support including ongoing career coaching.

The course is made for skilled workers 40+ from any sector, with work experience ranging from administrative to managerial and professional roles. Participants need a good working knowledge of English, basic computer skills, access to the web, and a laptop or tablet. Note that the course is also open to Richmond residents living outside TW12.

Classes are held every Monday and Tuesday from 10.30am to 1pm at the recently renovated All Saints Church Hall, The Avenue, Hampton, TW12 3RG. Places are limited. Reserve your spot online.
