With ongoing challenges around the cost of living, utility bills and the housing crisis, many of the council's residents are relying on community support. Last year, Citizens Advice Richmond helped 4,480 local residents and improved household income overall by £2.6 million.
Citizens Advice Richmond supports those with disabilities, and helps with housing, debt, mortgage arrears and eviction. Clients also benefit from money advice services, including information on energy bills and access to fuel grants.
The charity's pro bono legal service provides free access to professional legal advice on family matters.

This is how people were helped in the last 12 months:
- 8,400 benefits issues resolved
- 3,550 housing issues fixed
- 2,610 debt issues resolved
- 1,830 energy issues fixed
- £2.6 million extra income for households in hardship
The Friends of Citizens Advice Richmond are a group of local supporters and donors who help empower people to resolve their problems and change their lives for the better.
Friends receive quarterly newsletters, are invited to the Annual General Meeting and take part in team social events.
